Lisk twins

Just got a nice big Lisk roaster on ebay for a Buy it Now price of $10, it has the insert in it.

While cruising ebay I noticed that there are also roasters that are identical to Lisks, called REED. They have one vent rather than two, but so do some of the Lisks. Thus if you look for these as well as Lisks you will have more to choose from!
They look like they were made from the same pattern, only the name has changed....

That is correct - LISK Mfg. Co. purchased one of their largest competitors - REED - and built products, many of which were identical, in both plants under both names. LISK also manufactured as an OEM roasters for all of the mail-order companies, selling them under the name, among others, "Drip Top".

Thanks for sharing this. I had a VERY BAD (okay, no one went to the hospital) run-in with a pyrex roaster which I held in pretty high regard until yesterday.

These ones are going on the christmas list.
